THE NEW TACTICS NEWSLETTER – July 21, 2005

ASIA WORKSHOP ONLY TWO WEEKS AWAY

From Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro and Shakespeare’s Hamlet to Mbongeni Ngema’s Asinamali, theater has always been a place for social protest. However, this media is often overlooked as a source for action. The New Tactics Asia workshop (August 5-11, in Chiang Mai, Thailand) will feature a wide range of tactics, including the use of interactive theater to build awareness. [see the full list of tactics]

During the Asia Workshop, you will receive periodic emails with links to workshop presentations, reports and participant interviews. Our hope is to keep you updated on what’s happening in Chiang Mai, as well as provide you with useful resources and information for your work. Stay tuned to www.newtactics.org
