The website www.HealTorture.org launched today; providing one place for information on serving survivors of torture. 

It has resources such as: Healing the Hurt: a multidisciplinary guide that addresses some basic considerations when working with survivors of torture and Archived Webinars: on various topics such as serving children who survivors and vocational rehabilitation with torture survivors.

Attached to this Blog entry is a sample of a timeline for preparing and conducting an annual fundraising event.

This sample timeline can be used to help each of us as we prepare for annual events for our own organizations.  It was prepared and shared by Carol Prendergast from Bellevue/NYU Program for Survivors of Torture.  She shared this tool in last month's webinar.

I work on a project called the National Capacity Building at CVT. One tool we use is Webinars or on-line seminars as a format for sharing one person's knowledge with others.

I would love to hear from anyone in the community who also works at trying share expertise! I think this New Tactics site will be a big help to our work...
