Jackie Ogega is a peace practitioner who has engaged in a wide range of work related to gender, international development and peacebuilding. She is the Director of the Women’s Mobilization Program at Religions for Peace international Secretariat in New York. She is the co-founder of Mpanzi – a rural-based non-profit organization dedicated to community peace. She also serves as an adjunct faculty at the School for International Training in Vermont USA. Her previous work in various positions focused on leading development projects that promote peace, education, social justice and the empowerment of women and girls. Her research interests include gender, religion, identity and social movements in relation to peacebuilding and development.
