John Morrison

John Morrison has been Programme Director of the Business Leaders Initiative on Human Rights (BLIHR) since its inception in 2003 and is currently also shares responsibility for facilitating a global consultation and development process on the need for an Institute on Business and Human Rights.

In addition to his work with BLIHR and the Institute, John is Founder and Director of Business and Human Rights Associates Ltd, and works with businesses, governments, intergovernmental organisations and NGOs on strategic responses to issues of governance and human rights. Previously, John was Head of Global Affairs for The Body Shop International plc  and before that an expert in issues of  migration, smuggling and trafficking. John is a Harkness Fellow to the USA  and an adviser to Realizing Rights: The Ethical Globalization Initiative, the Business and Human Rights Resource Centre and the United Nations Global Compact Human Rights Working Group.
