Skills and Tools Training - Villages 1 &2 (see schedule below). Training on New Tactics Tools Orientations: This 4-hour rotation provides each village with a brief presentation and interactive session using New Tactics tools: 1) Using technology tools to document the workshop process itself-e.g., reporters from the morning session may use information from that session to demonstrate and document during this time; if time permits include tips on continuing future communications-e.g., communicating with Centers back home/organizations in gathering information; b) Introduction to using the tactical mapping process, beginning with individual use of the tactical map tool; and c) self-care - how to remain healthy and motivated for human rights work for the long term. (NOTE: The New Tactics Project will also provide informal sessions that highlight self care-such as offering Ch'i Kong sessions in the morning prior to the start of sessions and self-care "ice breakers" during the day.) |

Post Workshop Planning Full Group Check-in Session Individual reflection: Participants look back at their personal statement and any new ideas they want to add. Include: (1) How do you envision bringing this experience and these tools to your organization and networks? (2) What concrete action do you want to implement or put into motion? (3) What kind of support do you feel you need to implement this goal? (4) How will you know if you have accomplished it? Small group reflections on sharing experiences and post-workshop ideas (Emerging Tactic ideas form) |
