Depending on the size of the file, adding a image can take a few minutes to process. You can compress and reduce image size using various programs (such as "photoshop elements".)
To begin, first, go to the box where you enter text. Look at the top of the box, in the shaded area. Near the end of the first line there's a small picture of a tree (
). Click on that button.
A new box comes up which says, "Insert/Edit Image".
Locate your desired image. Is your image online? If so, enter the website address in the URL (for example, http://address). Continue by completing the rest of the information in the box.
Is your image on the hard drive of your computer or on a computer disk? If so, at the end of the box where you would enter the URL there is an icon. Hover your mouse over this and it will say "browse." Click on "browse" and a new box opens named Image/File Browser. Go to the bottom of it and look for a place to click "browse." From here you can search for the picture that you want. Once it is highlighted in the box, click on "upload file" and it will appear in the Image/File Browser.
Click 'add' to get the newly uploaded file's URL into the Insert/Edit Image box.
Click Insert and your picture will upload to your entry.
Be sure you click "save" at the bottom of your entry page to save the changes made to the entry.
