The Center for Victims of Torture (CVT) trains peer counselors to provide mental health services to refugees in Guinea and Sierra Leone. Recent conflicts in those countries produced massive displacement of people in the region.

I am the Assistant Director of Development (fundraising) at the Center
for Victims of Torture. I have worked on the CVT staff, and with
the New Tactics Project, since 2001; I started volunteering at CVT in
1993. I previously worked with several nonprofit organizations
