Service and contribution educate children about human rights
Every year, thousands of Norwegian school children leave school for the day to carry out money-raising projects such as washing cars or shoe shining. The funds amount to nearly $5 million annually and are designated for development and human rights organizations in developing countries. Through this exceptional approach, children learn that their small contributions, when joined with others, can create something extraordinarily powerful. Additionally, learning about human rights issues by investing in organizations that are trying to make a difference further commits students to creating change.
