Recognising and greatly respecting your experience and status in the field of culture and development, the Prince Claus Fund would like to invite you to participate as a nominator in our Awards Programme.  
The Prince Claus Awards are an integral part of the Fund's strategy for enhancing and stimulating culture and development. Working mainly in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, the Fund is a platform for intercultural exchange. The Fund also has a special interest in Zones of Silence, countries and spaces where cultural expression is restricted or hidden. In collaboration with artists, intellectuals and institutions, the Fund organises and supports innovative cultural activities, events and publications on relevant contemporary issues.  

Each year, the Fund seeks to highlight excellent achievements in culture and development by presenting awards to individuals, groups or organisations that have made outstanding contributions in this field. The Prince Claus Awards are an opportunity for you to bring attention and recognition to individuals, groups and organisations whose work and achievements you respect or admire.   

Your valuable contribution and generosity in making nominations can play a significant role in stimulating and supporting culture and development across the world. The Fund will be honoured by your participation in our network of people dedicated to promoting cultural development and will recognise your contribution in the annual Prince Claus Awards book.

We request that your nomination gives a brief account of the artistic or intellectual quality of the candidate's work and its significance in the wider cultural and social context, and explains why you consider the candidate eligible for an award.

Please note that nominations are strictly confidential and are exclusively the subject of communication between the nominator and the Prince Claus Fund, and between the Fund and its selected advisors.
