* Methods: approaches or tools for realizing human rights;
* Emergent opportunities: new and promising developments that have the potential to promote the advancement of human rights.
These areas will be expanded and others added as the Fund raises resources to fund human rights initiatives in the region.
AHRF considers that all human rights (civil, political, economic, social and cultural) and indeed all countries and sectors within the Arab region, fall within its mandate. AHRF is looking for innovative ideas and methodologies that reach broad constituencies and enhance the capacity to develop new strategies and approaches.

* Project proposals submitted to the Fund can be up to a maximum of three years
* Please discuss your proposal with us before submitting your grant application
* The maximum amount per grant for the time being is $25,000.
* Deadline for grant applications is end June 2008
* The Board decides about the first batch of grants in Mid-August 2008
