Nominate a Human Rights Advocate for the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award - Deadline April 15, 2008

The Robert F. Kennedy Memorial is now accepting nominations for the 2008 Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award. [http://www.rfkmemorial.org/legacyinaction/humanrightsawardadvocacy/] The nomination deadline for the 2008 Human Rights Award is April 15th, 2008. The Memorial offers not only a monetary contribution to the cause of the selected candidate, but a partnership, through RFK Center, in the fight against human rights violations.

In 2007 the RFK Human Rights Award was given to Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Abdallah, a respected community leader, peace negotiator and human rights advocate in Darfur. To date, the RFK Memorial has honored 37 Human Rights Defenders working in 21 countries.
