Access to Justice, based in Lagos, Nigeria, advocates changes to the legal system that will make it more accessible, efficient, transparent and responsive to society’s needs. They also work to rebuild public faith in the justice system.

The Asian Forum for Human Rights and Development (FORUM-ASIA) is a regional human rights organization based in Thailand. Forum-Asia focuses on the protection of human rights in Asia through the cooperation and sharing of information among human rights organizations in the region.

The Danish Institute for Human Rights conducts research, carries out public information campaigns and provides guidance for governmental and nongovernmental organizations. The Centre frequently serves as a consultant for human rights centers and humanitarian organizations in other countries, as well as intergovernmental organizations such as the European Union, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, and the United Nations.

The ICAR Foundation in Romania provides medical and rehabilitative services for primary and secondary victims of political repression. The Foundation promotes social reconciliation among civil society groups, advocates solidarity with torture survivors, and raises public awareness of torture. At the national level, the Foundation works in close collaboration with three Romanian centers and with other nongovernmental organizations in the field of human rights. The ICAR Foundation is also an active member of the global network of rehabilitation centers treating torture survivors.

The National Coordinator of Human Rights (Coordinadora Nacional de Derechos Humanos) of Peru is a coalition of 61 nongovernmental organizations dedicated to the legal defense of victims of human rights violations, human rights education, and the promotion of human rights. It has achieved national and international recognition and has Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations.

Public Administration Institute for Turkey and the Middle East (TODAIE) is a government educational institute for in-service training of public officials and civil servants. The Human Rights Research and Documentation Center of TODAIE compiles materials on human rights; arranges seminars and conferences on the topic; and conducts research and creates publications on human rights issues, including the periodical Turkish Yearbook of Human Rights. The Institute coordinates its activities closely with other human rights institutions in Turkey and abroad, including serving as a National Correspondent for the Council of Europe.

The Turkish Helsinki Citizens’ Assembly (hCa) was founded in 1990 by societal leaders working for the democratic integration of Europe. Working internationally and regionally through the hCa network, it strengthens civil society in Turkey through education on human rights and democratic development. Additional global and regional partnerships are being established as the New Tactics project progresses.
