Jesse joined the American Jewish World Service grants department as a program officer in June 2007 and is responsible for managing AJWS’s Collegial Partnerships program as well as our Sudan grantmaking. Prior to joining AJWS, Jesse was a program officer at Urgent Action Fund for Women’s Human Rights, a global women’s fund that exists to protect, strengthen and sustain women human rights defenders at critical moments. Prior to that, Jesse worked as a teacher and teacher trainer in northern Namibia. She holds a B.A. from Bryn Mawr College, where she studied education and mathematics.
