Rajasvini is passionate about building the capacity of people and organizations to facilitate participatory, rights-based and grassroots-led social change, and has worked in Kenya, India, United States and Canada. Vini has led a nationally renowned youth development organization; run a public sector community technology fund; worked as a management consultant and worked as an organizer in the movements for economic justice, refugee rights, community health and LGBTI rights. Born and raised in India, Vini earned a Master′s in Public Affairs (MPA) with a focus on technology and telecommunications policy from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin and Bachelor′s degrees in Astrophysics and Interdisciplinary Studies from UC Berkeley. Vini serves on the board of CUSO International, an international volunteering organization and is an active member of the International Human Rights Funders Group (IHRFG) and Grantmakers without Borders (GwoB). She is also a published poet and essayist. She has served as IDEX′s Executive Director since February 2010.
