Amber moves from a diverse landscape of experience. Her work, which sits at the crossroads of science and spirit, reflects this diversity. Equally activist, artist, academic and advocate, she has dedicated the last 25 years of her life to body-based, moving therapies with survivors of human rights abuses, and historic, complex and social trauma in a global context. She is a fierce advocate for self-care as an expression of self-respect, and is an innovator in the field of staff care for first responders in disasters and complex humanitarian emergencies. Her expertise is integrating creative arts and body-based therapies into psychotherapeutic contexts.
