Bassem is a 27 year old Egyptian activist.  He finished his studies in international relation in 2006. He started to work from 2004 as a researcher in Andalus institute for tolerance and anti violence studies. There he monitored the role of media in the presidential elections in 2005.

He was one of the founders of “Horytna.net “an online youth radio in 2006. In 2008 he founded ”life art team “ and show the play he wrote “to the village of leprosy.“ In 2009 he cofounded EDA (Egyptian democratic academy) and established “elma7rosa.net” the first human rights political on line radio in Egypt.
