Brian is the Executive Director of GLEN - the Gay and Lesbian equality Network - since 2007 and was the co-Director of the Yes Equality campaign for the marriage equality referendum in Ireland in 2015. GLEN is one of Ireland's leading advocacy organisations on LGBT issues. He is a board member of ILGA-Europe, the European-level advocacy organisation on LGBTI issues, He has been involved with a range of advocacy, community and cultural LGBT organisations over many years, and has a background in the corporate sector in technology and banking, and in the nonprofit sector as a consultant on strategic planning and evaluation.
