I am Akol Ceasar, a legal officer at RLP and a lawyer by training. for the past four years i have been working with RLP in Northern Uganda where my organization is involved in monitoring, documenting and reporting Human Rights, Transitional Justice, extending access to justice to survivors of SGBV/P, among other work. i have been trained as a trainer of trainees in Human Rights advocacy by Amnesty International, Uganda Law Society (on mediation), and also by UWONET on good Governance and social accountability. i have therefore trained paralegals in various support groups working with RLP specifically in Karamoja Sub region where RLP has been implimenting an SGBV project. as a memeber of Access to Justice program of RLP, i have also been involved in training Police, Prison officers, forced migrants and host communities on the Ugandan Legal frame work, Case handling technics, Monitoring, Documenting and Reporting Human Rights Violations and Abuses. i have previousely worked as a researcher with various CSOs operating in the Karamoja Cluster especially on cross-boda peace among pastoral communities of Kenya, Uganda and South Sudan.
