Egbert Wits has been actively working on community empowerment in Indonesia for almost ten years. His trademark is the use and management of creative and artisitic approaches for engaging with (often marginalized) groups and enabling them to speak up. Having an impact within development work starts with finding fun, creative, culturally appropriate and sustainable ways of giving people the right media to express and communicate ideas effectively.
