Holly Ziemer is the Director of Communications for the Center for Victims of Torture. She is responsible for developing and managing communications strategies to further the mission of this international nonprofit with offices in St. Paul, Washington, D.C., Africa and the Middle East. Prior to CVT, Holly served as Director of Communications for the Minnesota Smoke-Free Coalition, an organization of business, health and nonprofit groups committed to reducing the harm caused by tobacco through policy initiatives and public education. Holly also worked as an Account Supervisor for the public relations firm Shandwick International (now Weber Shandwick), and as Director of Communications for Minnesota Attorney General Hubert H. Humphrey III. She has a background in journalism, having worked as an associate producer for several PBS Frontline documentaries and has written for the Los Angeles Times, the Orange County Register and Muckraker, a quarterly journal of the Center for Investigative Reporting.
