Iulia has started working in the filed of peacebuilding and social transformation 3 years ago, while finalising her MA studies in Security Managementt in Contemporary Society. Prior to that she had studied International Relations and European Studies, both in Romania and in Czech Republic at Charles University. 

As a peacebuilding professional, Iulia has worked with the Peace Action Training and Research Insitute of Romania, initially as training coordinator and for the past two years as Junior Trainer. Her areas of expertise include: discrimination, gender issues, democracy and active citizenship, conflict transformation, peacebuilding intercultural communication, non-violent communication, training development, implementation and evaluation, project management, non-formal education.

Currently, Iulia is undertaking a EU funded assistantship with the Austrian branch of the International Fellowship of Reconcilliation. Additionally, she is collaborating with 5colours1world, an Austrian based NGO focused on media for social change and film-making, as Associate producer and scriptwriter for “Peace is the Way Film Series”, a series of documentaries on topics connected to nonviolence and social transformation.
