Jen Soriano
Jen Soriano is a Filipina-American writer, communications consultant, and social movement strategist based in San Juan, Puerto Rico. She is a leader in creative communications for social justice, specializing in grassroots participatory strategies to challenge race, class and gender bias and to move transformative stories through both social and legacy media.
Jen is currently Strategic Communications Coordinator for the RoadMap Consulting group. As a communications consultant, she has helped strengthen the communications effectiveness of dozens of community organizing groups and alliances, including the National Domestic Workers Alliance, the Global Alliance for Incinerator Alternatives, the Grassroots Global Justice Alliance, the California Environmental Justice Alliance, Causa Justa Just Cause, the Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines, and Coleman Advocates for Children and Youth.
As a writer, Jen has worked with Yes! Magazine, Mother Jones magazine, the Center for Investigative Reporting, War Times, Organizing Upgrade, Free Speech Radio News and Free Speech TV.
