Intern's Role
Interns will support the work of the New Tactics in Human Rights program at CVT. The program collects, analyzes, and disseminates tactics being carried out by human rights activists to effectively advance and protect human rights around the world. Interns will assist staff in carrying out a variety of tasks, including researching innovative human rights organizations; preparing for online conversations, including outreach to leaders in human rights; summarizing online conversations; supporting the management of our database and website; assisting in organizing meetings; developing content for eNewsletters, blog posts and social media; assisting in the development of new online tools; and creating self-defined projects.

Overview/Description of the Position
The New Tactics in Human Rights program at the Center for Victims of Torture builds the capacity of individuals and organizations working in human rights through training and mentoring. Interns will assist with the research and development of resources to be utilized in New Tactics online platforms including the website, e-learning platform and web application. Interns will have the opportunity to engage with human rights actors worldwide in arranging online conversations, researching innovative human rights tactics, and developing other content and materials. The position is based at CVT's headquarters and is research and writing intensive.

Required

Hours
20-30 hours per week. More hours may be accommodated upon request.
