MENA Lead Trainer , New Tactics in Human Rights

Basil Ibrahim joined New Tactics in Human Rights – MENA in October 2021 as a Lazord Foundation Fellow, during which he worked as a MENA Training Assistant. After completing his fellowship, he was hired as a Junior Trainer, then as a MENA Trainer, and is now the MENA Lead Trainer.

In this role, Basil leads the development and delivery of the MENA training program, creating materials, facilitating workshops, and mentoring human rights defenders across the region. He is also involved in building advocacy skills and support local advocates in driving positive change in their communities.

Basil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and English Languages and Literature from the University of Jordan, a foundation that supports his work in the international human rights field and strengthens his ability to connect with diverse audiences across cultural and linguistic contexts.
