Basil Ibrahim joined New Tactics in Human Rights MENA in October 2021 as a Lazord Foundation fellow, working as a MENA Training Assistant. Following the successful completion of his fellowship, Basil was hired as a MENA Trainer. In his role, Basil plays a key part in conducting the training program by developing materials, conducting trainings, and mentoring human rights defenders. Basil is also involved in facilitating various activities aimed at empowering advocates across the region.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and English Languages and Literature from the University of Jordan, which complements his work in the international human rights field.
